Happy Birthday Frida! Frida Kahlo, of course

Frida Kahlo. Probably most well known, beloved and inspiring woman artist.  She is being celebrated this year with a amazing exhibit Frida: The Making of An Icon at the Tate Modern in London. At their website there is a great video and the Exhibition catalog is worth a look.   Frida was born July 6, 1907, and passed on July 13, 1954 at only 47 years of age, in her beloved La Casa Azul (The Blue House) in Coyoacán, Mexico City.   I want to share some of my Frida homages with you.

Frida Kahlo's closet at the Casa Azul (Frida Kahlo Museum) in Mexico City was unsealed in 2004.
Her husband, Diego Rivera, locked her belongings away after her death in 1954.
