Recently I came across photos of my mother, Rose, and my sister, Jacqui Rose. The photos were both very stylized and taken in the same year, decades ago. I was struck with how alike they looked in these images. I've memorialized my mother and sister in other collages, but these faded Roses speak deeply to me and it was very moving to work on the collage, with them before me.
