Halloween was the favorite holiday of my dear friend Michael. We costumed and celebrated many a Halloween with each other. I of the Crow totem; he of the Bat. Michael celebrated the day in the Wiccan tradition, honoring the day's roots as an opening to other realms - hence, all manner of beings might be encountered.
In any event, Halloween can be fun, spooky, dark and mysterious. This year I am celebrating with Crows - always a part of the mysterious in art and lore.
